Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish flamenco and pop singer. Since she was an teen, she is a singer in popular and traditional music. Her music interests extend to different genres like hip-hop and soul. Pepe Habichuela Flamenco guitarist of great talent, described her voice by saying it was sweet and had an old-fashioned bit. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and later earning an Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami will be her third full-length album. The album featured collaborations on music writing with several performers and artists, among them Cory Henry. The release came in the month of March, 2022 following a performance of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish soloist to appear on the show on Saturday Night Live. Motomami Rosala as well as winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, she was the first female to ever win both awards.
