Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actor, known for her starring roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! In the late 80s, she made her debut in acting becoming popular due to her part of Tezaab. In the film, she was portrayed by an established actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir on Dil. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she took up dancing at an early age. While she was young began acting, but struggled as many of her film projects were not successful. She finally found success, and then went on to be one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film industry. After marriage, she had one year off before returning to entertainment. She was also an important part in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her work in the social field is well-known.
