Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global breakthroughs into the Latin pop culture. His hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN to the Medellin-based company Sony, which is distributed by La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca, an album that was a Top Five hit. In 2020, he dropped the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia together with Noriel. In 2021, he was in a duet with TINI for her music video Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are also musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is an essential part of his life. When he was a kid, he began learning to play ukulele, saxophone and piano. When his original career plan was to be a veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with an Cuban teacher.
